    Bonjour!

    j'aurais besoin d'un coup de main pour installer ma carte PCMCIA SITECOM Wl 011 (Chipset: AMD AM1771) sur Mandriva 10.2. Ca fait longtemps que je lutte, mais pas grand chose. Je suis un debutant.

    Voici qqs infos sur mon systeme:
    -Mandrake 10.2 (Limited Edition 2005)

    -ce que j'obtiens en faisant lspci

    J'ai essayé de suivre les instructions sur le site ndiswrapper, en desinstallant tout d'abord les fichiers de /lib/modules/2.6.11-6mdk/3rdparty.

    J'ai aussi récupéré le bon driver correspondant a la carte sur ndiswrapper http://www.smc.com/files/AQ%5CDR_SMC2602Wv3_2_5.zip

    Durant l'installation, il me dit driver present, hardware present.

    Mais arrivé à l'étape de "modprobe ndiswrapper", le systeme se bloque complètement, ni clavier, ni souris ne marchent.

    Les voyants de la carte ne s'allument pas non plus.

    D'après ce qu'ils disent sur le site de ndiswrapper, c'est du a un problème de kernel.

    J'aurais vraiment apprécié votre aide pour résoudre ce problème.

    Bon, ca semble etre recent tout ca

    a la lumiere de certaines experiences, il semble que parfois la version 1.5 donne de meilleurs resultats
    ca peut etre une solution a tester

    j'ai installé la version 1.5 de ndiswrapper comme tu as dit.

    ce qui est interessant c'est que maintenant j'arrive a passer la commande modprobe ndiswrapper sans que ca ne bloque l'ordinateur.

    Cependant quand je fais iwconfig, il n'y a toujours pas de wlan. De plus les voyants de la carte ne s'allument pas non plus.

    Malheureusement, le pb semble etre avec la version 1.5 qui plante au chargement ...

    a partir de la, soit il faut tenter une autre version de ndiswrapper, soit une autre du pilote zindoz

    merci pour ta suggestion!

    Effectivement en utilisant le pilote fournit sur le cd d'installation de ma carte Sitecom, au lieu du pilote fournit par le site de Ndiswrapper, la carte a été détectée et les voyants ont commencé à s'allumer!!!!

    en faisant iwconfig, j'obtiens meme wlan0.

    Cependant il reste toujours un petit prob.

    je tape


    iwconfig wlan0 essid "Wanadoo_4c8c" mode managed key 3D725FB42DGFEC5445870K3L20


    mais quand je fais
    dhclient wlan0

    rien ne se passe.

    pourrais tu m'aider

    j'espere que ca va.

    Comme tu vois, le ndiswrapper marche et les voyants sont allumés, "iwlist scan" me donne le nom de mon réseau et me dit que c'est "restricted".

    Tu sais je croyais que le probleme etait avec Mandriva LE 2005 et j'ai donc installé Suse 10.1.

    Mais toujours le meme probleme!

    Je met la clef WEP, je met le nom du reseau et quand je fais "iwconfig wlan0", je vois bien apparaitre le reseau et la clef WEP.

    Mais rien du tout!

    Franchement je passe un tout fou dessus et je ne trouve toujours pas la solution.

    normalement le type de clef c'est sur la borne wifi ( si rien n'est indiqué, c'est generallement "open" )

    sinon, dmesg laisse qd meme penser que ndiswrapper deconne, il faudrait peut etre trouver une version plus recente du pilote zindoz

    donc c'est une open, car rien n'est ecrit sur la livebox.

    je ne trouve pas d'autres pilotes zindoz pour ndiswrapper.

    je crois que je vais laisser tomber.

    Pourrais-tu m'indiquer une carte PCMCIA qui soit parfaitement compatibe avec Mandrake 10.2 (LE 2005) et qui ne soit pas trop cher.
